Nearly 25,000 households in southeastern Queensland woke up without power on Monday morning after intense storm systems swept through the region, bringing powerful gusts hitting over 100 km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Impact
Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.
